Default Dwarf tree not doing well

Hello, I have had my banana tree in a pot outside for almost 2 years now. It has always been nice and green, but it hasn't really grown since I've had it. Just recently, it has started to droop in the afternoon, and the leaves seem a little yellow to me. I think I was over watering it so I cut back a lot. I'm not sure what else to do
