Dwarf Cavendish Bananna tree
2 Attachment(s)
My Dwarf Cavendish Bananna tree is 3 months old and the older leaves are yellowing on edges. I've planted it in a blend of manure , compost ,peat hummus, perlite and basic soil. Is this a good blend and if so should I move it to a bigger pot? It receives 6+ hours of sunlight . New leaves come about every week but my main question is when do the succers show up ?

Re: Dwarf Cavendish Bananna tree
3 months old? good job. old leaves die and are replaced with new ones. dc's pup relatively fast. at least do for me. cut those old leaves off might make it pup faster. might get water suckers tho, they are good for that when you push em when their small. pot size looks fine for now.
got a pic of the whole plant? |

How tall is the pstem and how many leaves are on the plant? .... "Is this a Good blend" ... I would say, if you pour water into the top of the pot and it doesn't start running out the bottom drain holes in about 15 seconds or less, then the soil is too dense. Water must drain out of the pot. For suckers, I would expect them until the plant is 4 or 5 ft tall for a healthy plant. Suckers at a very young age tends to indicates a problem with the corm. |
