If fungus is a problem for you then it seems safe to me to spray it. But I'm no expert! Maybe wait for a more experienced reply, but that's my thought.

I like using serenade... It's an inert fungus that prevents powdery mildew from taking hold. I use it on my tomatoes and cucumbers to prevent blossom end rot. The key is preventative maintenance with this stuff though. It won't out-compete once the offender has shown its ugly head

I am with merce3.

I had severe fungus problems with my grapevines. Now I spray them every spring
after the leaves have started to emerge, but long before the blossoms open (it also
acts as an insecticide) with a Serenade solution, which is bio-active and supposedly
harmless to the environment. I am doing that now for the third year; had no problem
with fungi since.

Good luck,
Olaf

I use serenade and copper in rotation.

Baking soda, dilute solution or diluted milk do wonders for powdery mildew, as well as other fungal funk. Serenade also a favorite.
