Default Cold hardy Banana

Hey guys,
I received my first banana tree a couple weeks ago in the mail.
I currently using the following soil: miracle grow for palms, citrus and cactus with miracle grow organic soil as well.
I trimmed the leaves that were damaged by the shipping and I am wondering if I need to plant her in a bigger planter to help with growth?
I also am wondering what is causing the leaf to crack? I can’t figure out how to upload pictures but the plant is maybe under 1 foot
Thanks for all the help in advance!
