Caterpillars zone 5/6

I found these guys holed up on a Basjoo plant of mine.
I do not know what they are yet( too small) but they sure are hungry.

Fall Webworm maybe?

Thanks for interesting critters. Tent caterpillars maybe? If you have a pond or lake with hungry fish they would love for you to cut those leaves off and toss them in. Or cut off and boil the buggers.

They are a tent type ....in a few days or less they will have more color and maturity to see what they are.....I think I know but they are too transparent.

I have some great larvae in my "Host plant area" but I do not know what these perps are yet.
My tomato hornworms are putting out about a pound of pesto a day...LOL>

When I flick the leaf with my finger every single one wiggles in unison for a second or so.

LOL.. insect harassment or flash mob?

They look like Webworms but there's no web. Nevertheless they are easy to control. Acephate kills chewing bugs graveyard dead.

Well, ick, just ick. Tonight I made the mistake of stepping outside (in the dark) to grab the French door to close it. Something slimy brushed against my ankle. It was not a worm; it was definitely bigger. Reminder to self: get that stupid outside light switch fixed. Nightmares tonight I suspect which will include wiggly stuff. Thanks to you I have a visual.:(

ETA: I'd Neem and soap the buggers.

Well, I checked out the caterpillar nursery today .

And guess what ...there was nothing there, nothing .
Just damage .....not a pillar to be seen.

I looked on all the other plants ....nada.

A caterpillar has been eating my Bordelons....

Here is the photo from store surveillance.

Super special note for the super observant.....see the water spots on the leaves?
When weather from the southwest dumps rain in our area it deposits soil/dust from the south on everything.
This is really noticeable on a clean automobile.

When the weather goes through Alabama/Georgia the residue has a reddish tint..which you will see in the nooks and crannys of your car.

Fast fun fact..
