![]() One of my p-stems was leaning today and I was able to pull itright out of the ground. The bottom of the corm had been completely eaten by what appears to be some very very small critters.
I tried to photograph, but they are just too small. Here is my description: about 1/16th to 1/8th of an inch long, totally white, looks like a centipede or a millipede in shape with multiple paired legs and a head with easily seen antennae. They were crawling frantically about, as they had probably been exposed to the sun for the 1st time in thier miserable lives. Any ideas? I had the same probelm with another mat just like this last year. Thanks!

![]() that sounds familiar with one of my potted plants couple years ago. I think I sprinkled boric acid in soil & rinsed the roots off.

Symphylan Identification If you are not opposed to insecticides you could probably used Bayer Advance Tree and Shrub insecticide. |

However, where the hole was is now filled with freshly dug up soil, which also means that I have a burrowing animul of some type, either a gopher or a ground squirrel... I was going to dig up the mat in February,....but with this, the schedule will be advanced. Thanks.
