That is cool. If they really wanted to invest some time into it, the barcode would correspond to a specific mat and they could give their harvesters maps that showed them the most efficient way to harvest. They could also keep QA measurements like yield, fruit length, and fruit diameter tied to a mat which would help them spot problem areas in a field. The biggest pain in the butt is finding the bunches to harvest. Even when I have tagged them, I have missed them. There is always a bunch or two every month that I find rotted on the tree because I didn't see it.
