Default documentary on banana production/export in Ecuador

Hello forum members,

I am planning to shoot a short documentary on the logistical process of banana 'production' and export, following a banana from a plantation all the way to a shelf in a European supermarket. The location will be Ecuador, likely in the region around Machala. The aim is to raise consumer awareness of the complexity of the process and work behind the nicely arranged bananas at low prices we find in supermarkets across the developed world.

If any of you have contacts to banana associations or plantations in Ecuador, I would be most grateful to receiving any contact details you may have as I still need to find a suitable banana plantation for the shooting of the banana growing process (especially a plantation that will give me access to shoot on it for a few days).

Hope to be in touch with some of you and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer!

Thomas
