Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

So what banana's have you grown
So what types of bananas have you grown from seed and succeeded.
I have grown so far from seed, Griersonni Snow banana I have just put around 15 different types in the propagater to see how they do. Here are a few I can remember off the top of my head. Haha Musa vooni Giersonni's Sikkimensis Giant ventriosum Thomsonni Monkey fingers Snow banana Rock banana Musa textilles Burmese blue Musa hirta Musa sakaiana Musa bauensis Candy Cane Banana - Musa campestris var. limbangensis Miri Swamp Banana - Musa campestris var. miriensis Swamp Banana - Musa campestris var. campestris Musa acuminata Musa nagensium Musa itinerans Yunnan banana Think that's it. I enjoy trying to grow things. Fingers crossed for them. So come on what have you guys tried out of that lot and any other types. Also pics if you have them. |

If no one did, this forum wouldn't be here I don't grow seeds but a lot of members here do. I'll just sorry to say, correct you though, in that Monkey Fingers is a cultivar not a seeded species.
