Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc.

Default sikkimensis seedling

Hi there banana guys,
I planted 8 sikkimensis seeds and have one that just sprouted! This is my first time. I am excited! Now what do I do? It's in peat moss and perlite in a small coconut fiber tray. What planting medium should I use and when should I transplant it? I watered it with some standard liquid fertilizer diluted to houseplant strength but I think it's going to need more substantial soil soon. Any suggestions?
