Newbie ? - M. Ingens seed
 

Good Day All - Possibly dumb question but I want to make sure I don't goof it up. The ingens seeds I received (assuming they are authentic) all have 2 lighter colored points on opposing sides of the seed, one smaller and one bigger, either of which could theoretically be the operculum. I am assuming it is the bigger one based on pics from previous posts?

I seem to remember reading a previous thread indicating it may be best to plant the seed with the operculum facing up as that is from where the sprout and roots emerge. Don't know if it really matters but with Musa germination rate being what it is, I want to give them the best chance I can....plus I would feel like a real putz if I planted them upside down.

So anyone know which one for sure is the operculum?
