Great. Please let me know when the seeds arrive!
I'm all out of seeds for this year. Hopefully I'll get more next fall to share with everyone.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Celine, the seeds are in a plastic baggy so hopefully it will keep them fresh until they get to you. Considering I just picked them only about two weeks ago, they should be fine. I hope everyone gets great germination results.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Hmmm I was wondering if I should keep them at constant temp or fluctuating temps?

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Celine; that's great how quickly you got your seeds. Mine should arrive before Friday.
With my lack of success in germinating Musa Velutina seeds. I am not giving you any advice. My GA is being shipped. Thanks again. Allen

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
I'm glad they arrived quickly and in good shape. I can't offer any advice on germinating them since it's all new to me too. I hope we can all get some sprouts.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Nope! Still on the mat... Lasiocarpa seeds are really difficult to sprout, I heard.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Nothing yet for me as well. I used GA and Hydrogen peroxide as my soaking solution. I put Sikimensis and violacea seeds in at the same time. The Violacea seeds popped in less than a month. Nothing else has germinated.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Keep having patience. I hope we all can get some to germinate. I guess we will find out if they are hard germinators or not. Please keep us all posted on any developments.

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Austin,
Mine have been out in direct sunlight for about 3 months now and I have yet to see any sprouting. Hopefully, someone else has had better luck with theirs... |

Re: Musella Lasiocarpa Seeds
Okaaay I might have an update. I think I have a sprout lol The thing is, I gave up on it a few months ago, because I left it to dry out twice for more than 3 weeks (the soil was like a solid cake...). I stopped the heating after a while.
I took the soil, re-wet it and used it to root Mulberry. I put it on the mat again, constant temps. My mulberry rooting failed, but I noticed a sprout. Then I killed it because I thought it was some kind of weed....... I realized hours later that it might have been a musella! I heard the sprout snap so I thought it was gone. But miraculously a few days later, it came back up (or maybe another seed sprouted). Now I am not very sure it is indeed a musella sprout. Could be a random seed... But it kind looks like one. I will wait a bit until it grows more leaves... I am really surprised that they still sprouted. So if you have left out the soil to dry up for months (not once, but twice or thrice!), do keep your seeds!!!
