Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc.

Default Musa Sikkimensis Seeds

Hi All

Wasn't sure where best to ask this, but I have tried and failed to germinate Musa Sikkimensis this year.

I have read that seed quality is important. So want to start again and was wondering if people could recommend where to buy seed in the UK /ships to UK?

Thanks
Emily

In the end I have ordered 50 from ebay from Mark Davis seeds. I think I haven't had chance to plant them yet though.

Do you have an online shop I can look at? Or do you sell them privately?

I purchased seeds from jmoore. I had 50% germination. I am very pleased with her seeds. I planted them in pots outside. Regular potting soil. I planted 10 sikkemensis and 10 thai black seeds and 5 of each have sprouted so far. Her seeds have been the best for me so far.
Thanks
Sylvia
