| Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

Just had a couple of Ensete glaucum come up last month after being planted in Nov 07. Also several E. ventricosum planted in Dec 07 (also had germination on the ventricosum a month after planting, then a long lapse).
The seedbed got pretty dry in between. I did water the glaucum this spring, after long neglect, and when that germinated I did a couple of containers of ventricosum. So, patience. |

Congrats!
Patience indeed. I still have Ensete sprouting in my garden after three years of their being thrown out there. ![]() |

Hmmmm....interesting! Glad you got them to germinate! I actually have some Ensete Superbum seeds that I never got around to planting (and I recently bought a live plant anyway). I was kinda afraid to plant em for fear that it'd take that long!!!

Fair enough! But at this point, I'm more scared that they WOULD germinate! LOL. I have way too many plants already and I don't really need more. I need more SPACE!
