Kluai Nam Wa is seedless edible cultivar. Who knows what that seeds are.
Congrats one way or another!

Thats interesting because on several visits to Thailand with work i have eaten seeded fruit that was referred to locally as Kluai Nam Wa.
My understanding was that some produce seed but it may not be viable unless pollenated.

Pisang Awak - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I fully expected these to be sterile hence my suprise when one sprouted.
Either way it will be interesting to see how it grows on.

Kluai stands for banana in Thai as well as Pisang in Malaysia. Both words are reffering on banana tree. Nam wa is largest cultivar (most common) in that part of Asia.

Well, this is what Gabe says in another thread.

'Namwah' (along with some other common ABB cultivars) actually do form seeds quite readily if pollinated. However, the seeds are rarely viable and if they are, then the plants obtained from them would not be 'Namwah'.
