Ensete Ventricosum Seeds

Does anyone know how long the bananas need to be on the Ensete before the seeds can be harvested?

Allow unblemished fruit to ripen; clean and dry seeds
Unblemished fruit must be significantly overripe before harvesting seed; clean and dry seeds
Seed does not store well; sow as soon as possible

This is my first year with Ensete...the pups I had last year didn't overwinter, so I bought more mature plants. I copied and pasted that information.:woohoonaner:

Thanks for the reply. I guess by overripe they mean it changes color? The bananas have been on the plant for about 5 or so months, still green and firm. :nanadrink:
