Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc.

Default Ensete livingstonianum

Hello,

I ordered Seeds from RPS (Rarepalmseeds) and used the usual methods (watering, heated greenhouse etc).
After 1 1\2 months still no success.
I always thought, that Ensete germinate faster than Musas.
I know, that some Ensete variations are difficult to germinate, but by now at least one seedling should pop up :-(
I there still hope ? The seeds where not that cheap, so i dont want to give up.

thx

Be patient, they need constant temperature about 30 degrees, 1 1/2 months is nothing when waiting for banana seeds.
