Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

![]() Anyone have any suggestions for containers I can use to grow some bananas from seeds? I am going to start them indoors and can't find any of those small cheap plastic starter pots at the store. I was thinking about using solo cups, but I thought they might crack...

![]() Thanks Tony. Do you poke any holes in the bottom for drainage? If so, what do you use?

![]() I just use a sharp pencil to make the holes - or a knife to make slits.
Soon I am going to be growing my first banana plant from seed! I am so excited, but must be patient while waiting for the seeds to arrive... : ) |
