| Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

Am I finally germinating? Here's what I am trying
Hi all

Welcome to the forum, I'm not sure that's germinating but keep it up, as you probably know musa seeds are very hard to get going, what variety have you got there? |

as for varieties it's a mix of: musa yunnan, musa sikkimensis x paradisiaca, musa sikkimensis hookerii. although now I coudn't tell you which is which  |

I am trying also some ensete superbum seeds.
soaking in hot water (leaving to cool) to begin with for 3 days then putting them in a plastic bag on some kitchen towel water soaked on top of my network switch which is a steady 29 degrees. Will update as and when required. |
