Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

Albino Ensete
The first and only Ensete that sprouted for me is SO white..
Is this normal in the early stages of growth? How do I best take care of this seedling? Thanks for your help. Best Regards, Marguérite |

Re: Albino Ensete
That's very strange, unfortunately these things do not tend to stay this way for long. They either die because the food in the seed in finished and can't metabolise themselves due to the lack of chlorophile, or they eventually turn green to be able to stay alive.
I'm quite curious to se what will happen, but keep it away from direct sunlight for now I'd say,....to prevent burning these tender leaves. Kind regards, Remko. |

Re: Albino Ensete
Yeah, typically such seedlings do not survive due to lack of chlorophyll or sunburn. Definitely keep it going and see what you can do with it though! Best of luck!
