These are 4" potted basjoo bananas (musa basjoo) that are grown from tissue culture plugs that I received late last summer. They were growing very large and topheavy in the 4" pots and I didn't want to repot them with winter coming on, so I cut them all off at 3" or so. The pseudostalks were about 1 or 1 1/2 inches in diameter when I cut them off. They are all growing back and are back up to 15" or so, and have a step in the trunk where they were cut back.
These have good root systems on them and are growing really well, so as soon as you can get them planted, they should really take off for you. If you are like me and that's a little ways off, as long as you don't overwater them, they should make it ok for you the rest of the winter. Then you can put them out when you're ready.
I'm charging actual shipping costs on these, I guess they would weigh about 1.5 lbs and I'm shipping from Muncie, IN 47302 (Usps priority mail). The package will be 6x6x26 priority mailing tube unless you want more than one. I think I have about 20-25 of these, if you need a banana grove!
PM me and we can work out payment details.
Thanks!
