I have several Ensete glaucum plants for sale. Started them all from seed. There are two different sizes, mainly because of the size pots they are in. The smaller sizes have 20 inches of pseudostem, and are $20 + shipping. The larger ones are over 30 inches of pseudostem now, and are $30 + shipping. I will post a couple of pics tomorrow. Pm or email me if interested.

As promised, here are a couple of pics. There are 3 small sizes available, and 5 large sizes. Shovel is for scale only. Wind wasn't exactly cooperating with me today. Keep in mind that most leaves will have to be removed for shipping anyway, but they will grow back quickly. Plants will be shipped bareroot.

Dan, the pseudostem will grow to about 5 meters tall, then add several feet for the leaves, so upwards of 20 feet or so. You know you want one...

Dan, Ensetes store very nicely in a cool, dry place such as a garage or basement (or crawl space). I have kept my Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii' in my crawl space for two year now, the first year the plant was still sort of small. It starts growing almost immediately when planted back outside in the Spring. Personally, I haven't stored E. glaucum like this, but have friends that have with great success.

we will keep that in mind if can get garage insulated by summer end, as it would freeze in there. We have no crawlspace as our house is on concrete slab, and family members basements probably to wet.

Hi Frank,
I'm interested in trying one of your Ensete Glaucums. I live in Northern CA (zone 9ish) where my Ensete Ventricosums handle the winters outdoors in the ground. Do you know if the glaucums are similar when it comes to cold hardiness? James |

James,
From what I understand, they are not as hardy as Ensete ventricosum, but are still fairly hardy. Zone 9a is their limit without protection. I've never left one outside here (either species), because I'm sure they would both croak, lol! PM me if you want one. I still have both sizes available. Frank |

My E. Glaucums overwintered here in northern zone 8 without protection .
This , IMO , is one of the most atractive plants one can put in their landscape ! If I didn't have them already , I would take em' all . ![]()

Mine get droopy and borderline crappy in the hottest conditions but always bounce back to their former glory .
