Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
You read it correctly!
For the first time ever! I am offering this insanely rare fe’i variety! You know from my reputation that you will get the correct plant with me! This is for real! Nobody in the US outside of HI that I know of is growing Fe’i. I hear they are very hard to grow! So I do not recommend these to inexperienced Musa growers! These are tiny TC plantlets! They will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail! Please email me for more information! I have a very limited supply and they will go fast! Tytaylor77@icloud.com |

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Are those the 'Bleeding' Bananas?
|
Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Yes!! They bleed a pink to purplish color. Not sure the color of this exact one! I’m gonna grow 10 or so of these, so I can do a sub-tropical tests on them! I am more excited than I have ever been over these.

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
How about posting some pictures of these. How many did you get? 2 Flats? I would like to try these but I'm concentrating on the getting my current bananas well established. So adding hard to grow types are not in my game plan for now. ... Hummm, I think these are very TALL nanas ... may be 30 ft???

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Nah just one flat. I’m keeping a lot of them. So close to half are still available. I will post some pictures up here. Gotta clear out some of mine. My picture storage is maxed out and I gotta delete a few.

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Good Luck on growing these in zone 8B. ... i cant find growing stats on the Fe'i, but because of it height I assume the plant has a long growing time to flower. Longer than zone 8B provides unless you got the dwarf variety. ... So may be forced dwarfism can be used to fruit the plant in it's 2nd year. ... Otherwise, this should be a gorgeous yard plant!

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Have you grown these out yet? From my experience they are difficult to say the least.
|
Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
I want one! Do I paypal you the money, or what?
|
Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
I just got them last week! So haven’t grown them out yet! However I’m very excited to! Part of the excitement is the mystery! These are the first fe’i to be grown in the sub-tropical US! With so few fei left in HI, how great will it be to see these growing here in the south!
They may do horriable but a Musa is a Musa and they seem to be very well just sitting here in small pots! I am very excited to see how they end up doing! |

It also says that in Hawaii fe'i grow "painfully slowly, budding off very few keiki." But I suppose that is offset by the fact that they *sometimes* produce viable seeds. |
Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
My info said the Fe'i is 10ft to 33 ft tall. So a medium tall Fe'i is about 20 ft. Anyway, since the plant is very slow growing it would not be easy to fruit in the zone 8B if at all.
I do hope Tytylor has great success with this. |

Re: Musa Fe段 Aiuri FOR SALE!
Same here! Honestly I’m not expecting fruit in my zone. This is for sure not a good choice for a fruiting Musa. But for people like me that love Musa overall or collectors it’s a dream come true! I’m ready to shower in that purple sap haha.
Thanks for the info guys! I’ve been told by my contacts in HI that they average about 14’-18’. As small plants they are growing fairly fast under the 50% shade cloth! I mist them as often as possible! Even as small TC plants they are very cool looking. Very unique looking Musa for sure! |
