Because a person posting they have all these types as "seedlings" makes me wonder if they really have them or are trying to scam people. Typically anyone who has these types of plants would know they are NOT seedlings, as they don't grow from seed and would not be called seedlings. Typically a person with knowledge of the names of these plants would know the proper terms they are called.

Why am I focused on it? I 'd hate to see members get scammed. Especially since the person posting only has...4 posts...

That's why.

I do not force anyone to do anything, this is only information for those who want to exchange.
Of course my banana seedlings are from mother plants and have been separated. I bought highgate 4 years ago in Thailand and it cost me over $ 100
My bananas are only from reliable sources and professional breeding.
Unfortunately I live in zone 6b so I have long winters and most bananas are difficult to grow.
I grow them in pots, so small bananas are not impressive and the growth of my plants is slow. A large greenhouse is under construction so everything is ahead
I greet everyone.

In our country, all small plants in pots intended for further cultivation are commonly referred to as seedlings. You can additionally clarify the origin.

Seedlings are plants that are cultivated from seed.

Otherwise if you got them from a mother plant they would be called pups or suckers from the mother plants you got them from.

Hiya Re: I have banana seedlings: highgate, rose nain, namwa, 1000 finger.

Poland Here, a puppy is a small dog sm what we also call suckers.

there are translation problems with us suckers =

We say seedling, and you can add the word - rooted or (separated) regrowth

The reality is that most banana growers in the world refer to vegetative offshoots of the banana plant as seedlings. The term seedling was being used long before the United States was even a country. The first time I heard of them being called suckers or pups was when I joined this forum, the terms seem silly but it's mainly only used in the US. Most countries call them seedlings or semillas de guineo/semillas de platano and if the plants were actually grown by seed then further information would be added.

You wrote so well. In Europe, it's the other way around.
PUPS = Puppy - a small dog that was recently born
Suckers - It's better, but that's not how we define plants, but rather a rubber sucker only
