Help required for selling !!!
Hi people.....i m a farmer in India, with a banana plantation. I have grown two varieties of banana's without using any fertilizers or pesticides. It is totally organically grown with lots of manpower and money. But now the reality strikes me like a thunderbolt. THERE ARE NO BUYERS. My heart has been in shambles since. All the produce has gone waste.
I am posting here for a sincere request my friends. Please guide me if anyone of you have taken the same path. Can i sell any other product of Banana (leaves or stem) or is there any way i can recover my money from the crop. Its become very bad for me to even carry on my life, because of the debts that i had made to cultivate it organically, taking it as a challenge... Is this the fate of all organic cultivators. I just wanted to contribute to protect my environment. I do hope that some of you will kindly throw some light or pitch in some help.....waiting for it..... Thanks brothers and sisters |

Re: Help required for selling !!!
Please excuse my bluntness, but how does one get into such trouble?
What was your market plan for your crop pre-planting? What types of bananas did you grow, how many plants, what is their current condition? I don't think you'll find someone here to purchase ten-thousand banana plants! I don't know how commercial growers run but couldn't there be a market for your pups to growers with a market? Specialty markets have always been a big risk, and it sounds as if you put too many eggs in that basket.
