![]() I'm a newb and don't actually have any bananas yet, but I've been looking for the same thing. So far, I've read that Dwarf Cavendish, Double (Mahoi), Texas Star, and Dwarf Orinoco all are in the 6 to 8 foot range. Dwarf Brazilian grows from 6 to 13 feet.

![]() A supposed friend has had great success with Dwarf Namwa, 7 to 8 foot pstem and very vigorous. After being promised a pup for over a year I gave up on the BS and bought a couple from SDDarkman. I have grown tall Namwa for years and look forward to a more manageable size to battle the cold nights. I deal with extreme heat in the summer [119F this past summer] and Raja Puri and Dwarf Cav kept choking so I gave up on those long ago. Get your pups from people on this forum or verified honest online sellers.

![]() Even when grown under optimal conditions, the real deal Rajapuri stays within 6-8' tall and produces quality bananas: rajapuri outdoors in Northern California (grow report)
Dwarf brazilian can be relatively short too, but if given the space, it can produce pretty enormous plants. |
