Hello,

I have a ceylon that I got from
Buy - Banana Trees - Banana Plants - Sale

The plant is rather healthy in pot and about 3 feet tall. No bananas yet but a lot of leaves. I have bought several bananas from this vendor with no problems and all have been healthy.

This nursery sells healthy plants, but they are not correctly labeled. I bought three bananas from them awhile back, and all three grew out to be wrong. The 'California gold' was obviously a dwarf cavendish, the "gold finger" was a super dwarf cavendish, and the "manzano" was something mysteriously red. Again, healthy, well grown plants, but not at all what I ordered.

Hmm... well not sure about mine now but the icecream at least looks correct to me. Then again none of mine have flowered as of yet so I guess we will see.

For what it's worth, I ordered from this guy as well, but I emailed him with a link to this forum and asked for some assurance that his labeling is correct.

He replied very quickly and owned up to the fact that he makes mistakes sometimes, but he ships out thousands of plants every year so he just has to try his best.

If I have any issues with my order, I will respond to this thread with updates.

My pisang ceylon is easy to tell. The underside of the leaves have a purple hugh sorta like plantain.

I ordered ice cream, california gold, and veinte cohol from this place. Ice cream turned out to be a Dwarf Namwah, Cali Gold turned out to be a williams, and Veinte Cohol turned out to be a hi color mini.

Not a single one was labeled correctly. the plants look great when they arrive, and they ship quickly, but I suspect the seller is sending out what looks good at the moment, and not necessarily what you ordered. Has ANYONE who ordered from this company received what they ordered?
