Transplanting banana pups
Greetings my friends!
I am sure there is a wonderful guide to this, but for the life of me, I can't find it. If I'm being an idiot and it's right in front of my face, (probable) please forgive me and link me to it with a shake of your head :) With that said, I have a bunch of banana trees that have pups around them I want to transplant to other areas of my yard. I'm curious what the best practices for this is. For example: 1. I just dig down with a shovel and dig them out with as much root on them as I can. Better ideas? 2. Is it better to root them in a pot after digging them up or can I put them in their destination straight after digging them up? 3. Are there any tips for increasing success? Thank you so much! :) |
