Tissue Culturing & Other Propagation Techniques of Banana Plants This forum is for discussing propagation techniques of banana plants. Hi Novi, My first attempt the explant turned brown and donít look like they are going to do anything. I tried another one this weekend and they look better but I have wait and see.
When you cut the pineapple, and you see the dark circles where roots develop, do you trim that down further? I mean how far from the side do trim it? Iím afraid of trimming the side too much and removing the area where the roots form?

Oh, I didn't use food coloring on these:-)

you add food coloring/ oh no. food colors is poison for explant. your explant will die.

more plantlet = more space hehe .
i have room for 1000 babyjars but not for 1000 containers with soil

some of my pineapple plantles become variegated/albino yellowish.. looks beautiful
