Siam Ruby Tissue Culture

Well the Siam Ruby tissue cultures I received from Agristarts are really starting to show nice:2755: color. I still have 2 available the cost would be $12 + shipping if anyone is interested. I will try to take some pictures of them.

Those look great! Did you have to buy a whole flat to order from them? Don't they require a wholesale license or something to order?

A 72 pack cell yes, however you can split it between 4 types of plants, so me and a freind went in on it. They never checked for a wholesale licene.:twonanners:

Chris,
You got any black ruffles that you need to thin out? PM, me if you want to thin out any extras. I have regular ruffles, black magic, black runner, Illustris, etc., but no Black Ruffles....
Randy

BTW, nice SR's!!! Just got one from a good friend of mine, today, or I would have grabbed one of yours...

Yea, nice colour
do you have them in full sun? mine are at least as big but after a long trip from the US to UK I've been a bit guarded about exposing them to full sun (not that we've had that much recently!). I bought 5, which are all doing fine, in fact 2 are already pupping but the colour is not yet coming through

So they all have color, just not the pups correct? I have them in both full sun and partial sun. I would recommend full morning sumn with partial afternoon shade, from what I've seen with mine.

Re: Siam Ruby Tissue Culture

Chris,
Are yours in the ground or still potted up? What are your plans with them? I received mine this morning and can't decide whether to put it out in the ground because they grow so much faster and then dig up in the fall or keep it in the pot. From my understanding, they are a bit slow in growth rate when potted. Am I correct, or not? Advice would be appreciated...

I have 2 in the ground, and the one I did nor put 20 20 20 on it starting to take off, the other looks a little sickly but I am confident it will bounce back.

Please post your recommendation for a thorough tissue culture textbook. Graduate-level texts are o.k. In addition to the science, it should practical enough that I could start a small-scale lab. Thanks in advance.
