Israeli Banana Production Photos

Ariel023 had difficulty uploading these photos and requested that I upload these for him. Hopefully, he will post comments to these photos later. Maybe he will also post some explanation about a vague rule of 6-6-6 he has briefly mentioned to me as well.

As I understand it, these were photos he received from various sites and a private collection at a kibbutz. The netting is widely used to reduce wind and hail damage as well as reduce evaporation.

Now to the photos....

Israeli banana flag??

Israeli net house

Israeli net house construction

Israeli net houses of various colors

Israeli bagged bananas

Israeli bananas with grey bags

Israeli bananas being readied for transport

Israeli bananas of various kinds

For comparison, bananas being shipped to market in India

Please direct all questions of any sort to Ariel023

Thanks for looking,

Harvey

I watched a "Globetrekker" or something similar type show one time about Israel. During the episode they visited an area by the Dead Sea and show agriculture production. They had quite the setup, growing all kinds of heat loving crops due to the extreme low elevation. I guess it actually helps the plant? I remember seeing watermelons being grown, but not bananas. Parts of Israel get snow, even Jerusalem gets it from time to time.

These bananas were being grown on the side of the road. I stopped the car and pulled over, and checked them out.
This was on a road along the perimeter of Lake Tiberias, a very famous lake known for, among many other things, supposedly being walked on by a very famous person named Jesus. Anyway, there was no fence, and I was able to walk right up to them and take some photos.

In case any Christians are scratching their heads, the Lake of Tiberias is also known as the Sea of Galilee.

Is that photo near Capernaum, Jarred? When I was riding on a boat there on the lake while on pilgrimage a couple of years ago I believe I only saw farming going on in that area on the hillside. Unfortunately, I don't recall seeing any bananas being grown in Israel though Ariel tells me that Israel is a fairly large exporter of bananas to Europe. He also e-mailed me an article discussing tissue culture production and breeding which says that an estimated 20% of the bananas grown in the world come from tissue originating from Israel.
