Northern MI indoors

I have had one growing since 2012 when I originally bought one from ebay. It threw lots and lots of pups and after it would produce bananas, I'd harvest and the plant would die, then I'd focus on a pup..... this went on until this last winter when the power went out via an ice storm, I wasnt in the house and all of my plants and aquariums did not make it... My house feels empty without one
