Steve, what was one pseudostem last year has become two this year, and still no sign of more pups. If I get a few pups by late September, I'll let you know. Here it is as of yesterday. Kind of small still, but still grows a leaf per week. Really seems to need the heat to get growing well.

Thanks Frank , If you get a good pup I'd be happy to give it a home , it'd the dark stem that interests me on this Musa.
Hope all is well

As you can see, it's just now starting to develop the dark pseudostem towards the bottom. It is cold-hardy too, but I protected it very well last winter. Even so, it was later to return than basjoo or sikkimensis, and took longer to get growing well.

Thanks guys , I see the colour starting , I'm really into different looks on Musa , like the white bloom on 'Saba'

On the seed front , I think I'm going to wait until December to order seed so with luck they will be ready to go out in the Spring Sun.

Later
Steve
