Default Wanted: Manzano

ok so I had my first Manazno's this week. They were at the grocery store labeled as such. short fat and sweet which a hint of apple flavor with a tangy astringent after taste.

I'd like to know where I might buy one, from a reputable dealer? I just want to make sure that what I buy will be what I get.

Going bananas? or banana tree?

anyone?
thanks
or if anyone has pups for sale or trade.
thanks
Larry

Going bananas?
I would think Going Bananas could be relied on to send you a nice corm/pup that is correctly ID'd.

If you're looking for a clone to do some experimental tc'ing with, Wellspring Gardens has cheap ($5.95) little tc plants of what they say is Manzano. I don't have their Manzano, but I've had great luck with the other half dozen banana plants I've gotten from them, i.e. they're all healthy and all seem to be what they're supposed to be. (I wouldn't trust their 'Ice Cream' though).

Best of luck

Pretty sure Going Bananas will only ship tc's to CA. I wonder why

California residents, please note a limited list of cultivars which are propagated by tissue culture and have passed California regulations for plant materials entering your state. This list is modified regularly and changes with stock availability, so check with us to see what may be ready.

Being out west I'd go with the most reliable, closest source. I prefer to keep the travel of my plants as short as possible. Therefore I'd go webebanana's.. :^)
