A local supermarket sold large mixed pots with annuals and exactly such a banana as centre piece for $50 ea. I wondered if half of the people who bought these arrangements even knew, that they were getting a banana. I also wondered if the bananas would be hardy enough to survive here. The fact that they are just another cultivar of the Basjoo answers that concern. Best, Olaf
