Need Raja Puri

Been quite a while since I was one here. I remember when we started it.
I just moved and left my banana plant collection. I have limited space now so I'm looking for a few proven varieties that I have always liked.
Looking for a Raja Puri plant (please NO "I think it is a Raja Puri")
Also a Dwarf Cav or something similar that has large dark green leaves and is a good bearer.
I'm in SW FL.
Thanks email me at tlturbo@aol.com

Pinders nursery in up the street in Palm city had some a few weeks ago.
Dwarf Cavendish is at your local Home Depot or Lowes as well as Walmart.

Fast check shows many decent nurseries in your area.....Smartyplants sounds decent:)

This forum member sells them also

Thanks but Plant City is on the East Coast and I'm in the Cape Coral area on the West Coast.

I have the true raja puri that is flowering now but no pups. Check with Ty (Tytaylor77) I got mine from him. He is a one stop shop for sure with I think over two hundred confirmed varieties.

WOW, NO response on a plant. Used to be in a day or two several people would offer up a plant. I even tried to contact the sources mentioned. No replies. No one has a Raja Puri pup?

Terry,

I should eventually have some pups available from a true raja puri as soon as the bunch fills (three-four months? Never filled a raja purity bunch before). I also think twotallgirls has the true one. But if you haven't found one by the time I have them available i would be happy to send one.

Could be the time of year. Unless you have zero worries about even light freezes, I don't think many want to take a chance and weaken the plant by taking a pup. Maybe spring time will be better.
Hope you find one, and good luck.

Hey -- not to piggyback on this threat but I saw the OP was able to find one and it seemed silly to open a new thread on this same topic (I did make one earlier but definitely in the wrong sub).

Anyways -- I'm also looking for a raja puri. I know the timing might not be perfect but if anyone is willing to part with a future pup please let me know !

Thanks !
