Musa itinerans
Does anybody have a Musa itinerans for sale? I would like the kind that is supposed to get 38' tall and be cold hardy. Any kind will work though.
Thanks, Nate |

Re: Musa itinerans
You can get some small 8"+ tc's from Martha on ebay.
I do not think she knows what species it is, but I think it is the large one. I picked up 2 from her a month or so back for about $30 +- I planted straight outside and one rotted at the base. The other is trying to put out a leaf. The plants came fine just to young for a early spring planting.

Re: Musa itinerans
Thanks, I've been looking on ebay for a while now all that has been on there for the last few months has been seeds from "georgia vines". I would rather get a pup from a member here that knows what kind they are growing. That sucks you bought one for $30+ and it died already.

Re: Musa itinerans
I have purchased an "itinerans" from Bananatree and it has yunnanensis characteristics more than itinerans characteristics. Look up goingbananas.com and the one he is selling as Burmese Blue is itinerans. It is not the giant but it is itinerans if he will sell one. I hope you get one soon.
