Default looking for Musa Velutina

Hello!

I have about 10+ varieties now but not M. Velutina yet. Florida Hill sells it but I don't want to buy it from them in case I get the wrong one. Anyone have one? Thanks!

I just got one from Florida Hill. Seems to be the real deal, but who knows. The bottom of the pstem is pink and the plant is very healthy. I bought it from them on ebay. I've gotten 8 or 9 plants from them so far and didn't know beforehand they might mislabel. So far, so good though - except for a ensete glaucum I got from them that just keeps dying a little more each day and I have no idea why. At first I thought it had gotten too cold in shipping, but I've babied it just like I did the others and it is the one that is declining day by day while the others are loving life.

If mine is truly Velutina, I should have pups to share later, in case you don't find one. Actually, it has a tiny pup on it already.

Thanks for the response! Hopefully your Velutina is indeed Velutina. I've never ordered from Florida Hills but I may breakdown and go for it eventually. I've ordered bananas from Wellspring Gardens. And have been happy with the banana plants. They seem to grow slow for the first few months but then start to take off.
