Default Looking for FL wholesale banana plants

Hi everyone, I just recently started a small plant nursery business on my property and have had multiple requests for Ice Cream, Orinoco, and Pisang Ceylon bananas. I've been attempting to find a wholesale source for smaller plants (4" to 2g containers) but without luck. Does anyone know of a Florida based wholesale nursery that carries these varieties in small container sizes? I'm in Orlando but I often drive to south FL to pick up plants so pick up vs shipping isn't normally an issue. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Try Agristarts in south Fla. https://www.agristarts.com/index.cfm...D/37/index.htm

You can also send Tytaylor77 a PM. He is on the forum and in Texas. He may be able to help you. He is setting up a large scale propagation nursery and has VERIFIED TRUE nana plants. Some very rare to the US.

Be very careful sourcing Ice Creme/Blue Java. Ask about the origin of the tissue. Many plants sold as those are not. I'd rather see you buy from a reputable source, one who can speak of his plants origins and certify them. One source is Going Bananas in South Florida. After you have the real deal get a lab to do tissue culture of your certified plant. Once you sell the wrong labeled plant your reputation is tarnished forever.

Best of luck with your venture!

AS ALWAYS IMHO AND YOUR MILEAGE MAY DIFFER!!!!!!!!

Life - Some assembly required, As is no warranty, Batteries not included, Instructions shipped separately and are frequently wrong!

Kentucky Bourbon - It may not solve the problem but it helps to make it tolerable!

Statistics - Data that analyst twist to support the insane opinions of those that pay them.

Many of Agristarts TC's are either miss labeled or no longer "true-to-type" . Especially the "Ice Cream". Thus many nurseries will sell the banana as miss labeled even if they know it to be.

While I recommended Agristarts above I would still be careful of the types from them. However, they are a mass producer of banana TC's

Thanks guys for the recommendations! I'm not sure I can purchase anything from Agristarts though since they state on their website they only sell to wholesalers, re-wholesalers, or producing farms while I'm a retail nursery. I'll check out Going Bananas too.
