Re: Dwarf Namwah Pearl
They are no longer in production from Agristarts,, which is the only TC company that I am aware that ever sold them. I think Agristarts also gave this form the name "Pearl". They were entirely too weak from the lack of chlorophyll in the plants produced. I bought 6 liners and got zero to grow on. Many of my friends bought trays of them with little or no success in growing them on. The Nam wah "PEARL" is the same as the variegated form of Nam wah. It happens that the variegated form is one of the most unstable variable variegates Ive ever seen. A nicely variegated 'sectored' or 'splashed' plant can and often produces suckers with all white leaves, yellow variegation, white variegation, or the "Pearl" type of variegation you are referring to. These are all the same plant. It is highly unstable and does not always produce like suckers. You can still find the variegated Nam wah on Ebay from a few Thai sellers.
