Re: also looking for pisang mas and nino
Pisang Mas or Kluai Khai or "egg" banana. Is very hard to find. Or was for me anyway. Last fall I finally received 3 corms direct from Cambodia from a guy I befriended who was from there. After I get some growth and make sure they are the correct plants I will post a thread here of them from corm to flower. I'm hoping they know what the "egg" banana is since it is their Country's Plant/Banana. Lol.
FYI American Ladyfinger is NOT pisang mas. It's never even a Silk type. It's almost always a cavendish or pome type. I've been there done that. I also have dwarf Nino and I'm 100% sure it is the correct type. But they are still small, I won't have any pups until late summer or early fall. Let us know if you find a source and be very careful for "fakes". Those 2 were very hard to get for me. Only thing worse is Tuu Ghia which I still don't have!! And want very Badly! It's a similar variety. Also Veinte Cohol is but it's not nearly as sweet.
