AeAe-supplier in Europe?
Hello,
may I ask for help? Since about two years I'm looking for a supplier here in Europe for a real Musa AeAe. IMO, there are some people here who want to earn money with pups that should be AeAe, but they can't show the mother plant (at Ebay, seller musaensete2012). The seller said that he used a trick to get that much pups from one plant.... but he refused to tell me the trick Honestly - I would like to buy a real AeAe. What would you suggest whom I should ask? Already tried Achim from bananenshop.de, but without success. Or is somebody here on the forum who is in Europe and would sell a plant to me? Right now I own a small Musa Tanee variegata, but to me it looks as the variegation is more yellow on that plant than on an AeAe. I'm not a professional with bananas, but from what I've read, the AeAe is the most beautiful and stable variegated banana. Is that true? Or would you suggest another variegated one that has similar qualities? I'm open for suggestions - thank you very much! Best regards from Germany, Saskia

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
If there aren't any import restrictions, you might want to look into buying a corm from someone who lives somewhere else. Possibly in the U.S.?

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
I think there are a few owners of Musa AeAe who use this forum who live in Europe (I'm not one).
You may also want to try Tropical Seeds; Exotic Seeds, Vegetable seed & Tropical Plants Mail Order, he occasionally has AeAe for pre order. Or Amulree Exotics occasionally has AeAe also for pre order. Or you could try Markus Senger at Frostehartepalmen he has a wide variety of plants. These are the most reputable dealers I know of, but it's hit and miss. |

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
Thanks for not being the two......... I'm neither
Well, Junglegardens don't ship outside UK, they even don't reply to emails (already tried that). Haven't known of Amulree Exotics, but will contact them immediately! Same with Frosthartepalmen. Thanks for your suggestions!

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
Well, the topic is up again!
The plant from Thailand took more than a month for delivery and arrived dead. Had to return it and l lost money. So I'd love to buy a plant (no pubs) from Europe or even USA - it's more reliable. Which supplier from USA would you recommend to me? Thanks a lot for your help!

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
Indeed, sups! Especially as the seller tried to help in every way, but Thai post is refusing any help to him. So he lost money, too.
Is nobody here who knows a supplier who would ship to Germany?

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
I really hate that its that way but these countrys can't get along..NOT ONE BUSINESS from the UK will ship to me. there are lots of things like tree ferns and things I would love to have but they refuse it..and no one from the US wants to ship there so were just kinda in a mess. If I find one I will let you know. Your best bet it going to be getting a individual to ship one instead of a business.

Re: AeAe-supplier in Europe?
Hi,
I have a good stock of Musa "Ae Ae", Musa Tanee variegated and Musa "Nam Wa" variegated motherplants. Every year I start in May to seperate the offshoots and start to sell them good rooted in June. I could reservate you one for this year if you like. My nursery is in Baveria, Germany. You are also welcome to visit me and to choose the banana by yourself. Best wishes, Markus
