Re: Wanted EE, Colocasia, Alocasia, Aroid, Canna
That would be fine, are you wanting to sell them or trade?

Re: Wanted EE, Colocasia, Alocasia, Aroid, Canna
What kind of stuff do you have to trade and what are you looking for? I've got some of the basic stuff, but you might want something more exotic.
EE:Pink China, Ruffles, Coffe Cups, Elena, Maroon Stem, Coal Miner (illustris), and maybe a few others. Cannas:Tropicanna, Bengal Tiger, Intrigue, Red Stripe, Wyoming, and a few more that I won't be able to identify until they bloom. I have a few Hedychiums too, but only Dr. Moy and Elizabeth in numbers good enough to trade. As far as trade goes, I need stuff that is zone 7 cold hardy. |

Here's the leaves of some of my Cannas...
The top left is Wyoming, top right is Red Stripe Middle left is Bengal Tiger (Pretoria), Middle center is Tropicanna, Middle right is the unknown with the purple cast. The bottom two are (on the left) Cleopatra, and Intrigue on the right. It is hard to tell from the photo, but Wyoming is almost shadowy purple over green. The one I mentioned as "unknown purple cast" is colored almost like intrigue and fades to green eventually and is more uniformly shaded. Cleopatra has a tendency to revert to green and I have so few with the purple stripes and splashes that I'm keeping them (I just added it because it looked cool and different and added to the display). As far as flowers go, Wyoming has large orange flowers, Red Stripe has medium red flowers, Bengal Tiger has large yellow to orange flowers, Tropicanna has large orange flowers, the purple cast has medium orange flowers, Cleopatra has flowers that are split between yellow and red that correspond to the amount of green and purple in the individual stem, and Intrigue has medium orange flowers. For cannas, what I call medium might seem small except for compared to species cannas which have much smaller blooms. Last edited by RobG7aChattTN : 06-01-2011 at 08:57 PM.
