Try contacting local Master Gardeners. Also garden or rare fruit tree clubs. Or drive to my place - I want to sell my smaller potted Fuyu. lol

FUYU persimmon is a very popular nonastringent variety - should be available locally in nurseries. unfortunalely, the jiro variety is often sold as Fuyu.
I have a large Fuyu tree planted in late 1980s before the mix-up. produces large fruit that are easily mistaken for tomatoes at 1st glance.
I'm experimenting with grafting and picked up 25 wild persimmon seedlings earlier this spring for practice.
pm me if you are interested in some wood or a future grafted seedling - scions were gathered last winter.

Very popular in Korea. They make a punch with dried persimmons called Soo Jeung Ga.

If you have, or know anyone that has been suffering from, reflux disease - GERD. The daily use of persimmons will wipe it out entirely. For good!!!!
