Default short dwarf papaya from thailand

Looking for seeds or seedlings of these really short papaya plants that have large fruits...I see the seeds on Ebay but prefer to purchase from someone here if possible.
Yea, it's a trust thing dealing with Ebay, (giant torpedo, super torpedo? The sellers user name is Lilathai)...PM me if you have anything available and how much you need in return.

Cheers, Patti

ive actually had very good results from ebay.
i got papaya seeds from like 4 different sources.
i order from ebay a lot, and normally as long as the seller has a good rating,
i go for it.
papaya seeds last a long time when dry, they just take longer to germinate
unless they are very frresh.

The only time i had a bad experience with seeds, si getting recalcitrant seed
from a seller who had 100 different varieties, and all for $1.
i had ordered 15 varieties, and 3 types didnt germinate
which i had kind of planned on anyway.

i get papaya seeds from University of Hawaii
$1 (about 40 seeds)
Agricultural Diagnostic Service Center - Seed Program

Waimanalo X-77 variety. disease resistant, always healthy plants.
low-bearing - short plant, but normal size fruit.

I had good luck with all the seeds from the University of Hawaii.
Ordered Kaek Dahm Papaya seeds from Thailand and another time via a Canadian source through Ebay and never had luck germinating them. Soaked the seeds, did the floating test but absolutely nothing.

Thanks for the replies.
I did break down and order some of those fancy papaya seeds on ebay, an expensive mistake for me oh well.
I did get a great deal of seeds a couple years back from the U of H from a person here on the Org had fantastic success with all of them X-77, Sunrise & Sunset and there producing fabulously. I just keep cutting them back once they get higher than the ladder can reach. They don't seem to mind even a little bit to be pruned.
Thanks again

So it seems that I am not the only one being out of luck with the "Kaek Dahm" variety.
