fyi that variety is hard to root from cuttings. i'm sure its possible but the success rate is low so get a bunch of cuttings. I'll be attempting it again soon

Gonna do air layering on it also when I see it start to wake up

Would it be better to get a small tree? Do you have a Pakistan mulberry?

I think I saw some on wellspringgardens. If you don’t mind a small TC plant. Can’t beat the price and I’ve never heard of them sending incorrect plants.

I have a small TC from wellspring, but afterthefact I gained access to a local property with mature trees/plants and there is a large pakistan mulberry tree. I tried 6 cuttings from it in fall but none rooted, so I read more articles about them and hear they are one of the harder mulberries to root from cuttings. Tree is waking up now so i'm going to put an airlayer or 2 on it.

Thumbs up Re: Looking for Pakistan mulberry

Hello! The mulberry arrived from Wellspringgardens arrived and it definitely is a small plant! I think I will plant it farther out in our yard than I was going to, because it is supposed to get pretty big!!! Here’s the pics: 🌲

Just kidding! Here they are:

I read a lot of conflicting things on this plant. most warn against growing to close to the house, driveways and sidewalks.

If I remember right, it was because of the fruit staining the concrete\tracking it inside. Or the roots. I am not sure.

Ours struggled for a month or so, (I forgot to water, pot too small, etc.)

But it pulled through and STILL needs to be planted!

Goid luck on the trees! Keep us updated!

I could tell right away it was a Pakistan mulberry by the balaclava it was wearing when it arrived. It was concealing a small IED under its left leaf as well.

Hey Man, another great plant to grow in Florida is the Mysore raspberry. It's amazing, fast growing; high producer. Only thing is to trim it, and it has thorns. It is worth it, if your not lazy enough to let it grow out of control. It can get huge, and produce pounds of black delicious raspberries.
