I notice that you are in Sao Paulo. I don't believe that this is a highland area, which, apparently, E. edulis prefers. Please keep us informed on how it goes. This plant interests me. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

São Paulo city is about 1000 mts high...........

I use to keep other Erytrina species that I got in my trips..........like Erythrina mulungu.......E. verna............E. crista-galli..............

I keep these in a more higher place..........1200-1400mts.........that my family use to have a small land............about 50 km from the center..........

Top of the "Serra do Mar"................it´s a high land for us in Brazil............

Atlantic Forest Realm............

I think that Erithryna can adapt very well................

Once they live in harsh conditions............they seems to be very hard plant............

And also they are considered pionner plants.............

I have no experience with Erythrina edulis.............

I hope to get some seeds...........or better..........few small plants..............

I´m trying this contact............Fundacion CIESAM.............. fundacionciesam@yahoo.es

CIESAM - Centro de Investigacion en Soluciones Alimentarias para el Mundo - EcoPortal.net

I send an e-mail yesterday.......and I did not recieved a response yet.........

I´m waiting..........kkkkkkkkk

Another reference is about Luis Enrique Acero Duarte............this man write a Book about Chachafruto...........

Guía para el cultivo y aprovechamiento del chachafruto o balú: Erythrina ... - Luis Enrique Acero Duarte - Google Livros

I thik is he.........
