Never know what you will find when weeding. Always amazes me when something pops up mixed in with the weeds. With all of the birds passing through Florida many odd plants are brought here by them. Thanks but we have a few also. Good growing from central Florida.

The birds didn't plant these, I did. LOL...
I just forgot with the abundance of other stuff I have that they were back there.
That's why there in pots and 3 foot tall.

Now if the birds want to drop off some thing useful as in rare, endangered or edible I'll take that.
Other than that they seem to think this is the drop off station for camphor, cabbage palm, all toxic exotic vines and tick weed seeds...by the time I get everything weeded it's time to start all over again and with searching for a job there isn't always a bunch of time to do a whole lot of weeding going back and forth all hither and beyond...

you may be able to cross camphor off that list soon

Pest Alerts - Redbay Ambrosia Beetle, DPI - FDACS

EDIT for those not in the know, camphor trees produce thousands/tens of thousands of dark blue/black berries which the birds love to eat
all this berry eating frenzy produces lots of dropped half eaten berries, and the release of previously eaten berries IYNWIM ; )
a nasty business to be sure

Wouldn't hurt my feelings any, but my neighbor across the street that purposely planted his 50 years ago might not have the same feeling about it. Every month they employ one of there grandchildren to come and pluck the seedlings out of everything in the yard. Over zealous, obnoxious invasive. In the same catagory as Braillian pepper, Austrailian Pine, Abrus. Thanks for the morning cheer on the redbay beetle as far as the Camphor goes, but looks like I have to watch my Avacado too with this introduced Asian pest. This thing has a wide variety of tastes and Florida is a smorgas board. Too bad it doesn't like Florida Holly...we could keep it busy for a long time!!
Thanks again, Pat
