![]() I have wheelbarrows full of red canna rhizomes that I am thinking I should sell. I'm thinking the best way to do it is take a priority mail box that is considered the largest size and ships at $15.43 anywhere in the continental US and pack it with as many rhizomes as I can. If you're curious what they look like, take a look at my youtube video of them at their peak. I'm asking $15 for the packed box plus $15.43 for shipping for a total of $30.43.
These are all freshly dug up, so if you're in a cooler climate, go ahead and keep them in a cool place with temps in the 35-45 degrees and plant in the spring, otherwise if you're in a warmer climate I would think letting them dry out a bit and then replant and they should take right off. September 27, 2012 Michigan bananas and palms - YouTube Payment can be done through paypal with regards to payment. Email me at wheelman1976@gmail.com if you're interested and I'll do my best to answer any other questions you may have. I should also add amazon payments as a payment option. I think this would be the best as it doesn't cost anything to send money through that and you can charge your credit card. Last edited by wheelman1976 : 03-08-2013 at 04:50 PM. Reason: Dropped price to $15.00. |

![]() I managed to stuff 20 rhizomes in this box. I might be able to get a couple smaller ones in there as well, but this gives you an idea of how many you can get for the size box.

![]() If you have access to the USPS "Regional Rate" boxes, you can get away with packing a box & paying a 2 pound rate ($8.65 for 'up to' 15 to 25 lbs, depending on the box)
You have to print the postage from home though, but there are deals on shipping out there if ya 'dig' around a bit. ![]() Best deals for short (& heavy) distance shipping!!!: https://www.prioritymail.com/regional_rates.asp ![]()

![]() I'm open to however anyone would like to have things shipped in order to save on the freight side of things. I haven't had much time to look into what you're suggesting as I've been spending the last few nights actually digging them up in the dark. By the time I call it a day I'm beat. All I'm looking for is around $20 for the size box I have pictured. I'm open to offers as well if someone even wants these things.
I guess the million dollar question is will someone reply to this and start a dialog. I'm not looking to get rich, just make some money to buy some bananas next year. |

![]() It's a good deal I would have taken you up on it if I didn't already have some here.
The wildlife seems to go nutty over them in bloom...did ya know allot of Cannas are edible? I've eatten mine kinda taste like water chess and consistancy of boiled potato. Weren't bad at all but I prefer the flowers of the canna to the potatoes I grow for food. Nice size tubers! Cheers ^_^

![]() I should also add that I also have red canna seeds for sale. Not sure what a fair price is, but I'm thinking something like $0.25 each, less than what I'm seeing them sold for on ebay. At that price I would prefer to sell in larger lots to make it worth while. If anyone is interested in these, please get in touch with me and we can figure something out as I'm still figuring the cheapest shipping option.

![]() Canna tubers will be fine shipped parcel post no need for priority shipping as long as you put them in a durable box and add something to make it so they don't bounce around.
You might want to see if you get some bites from people selling the tubers by the pound? I know the big box stores get a huge price for old dried up tubers of unknown age and viablity and they weigh nothing most of the time. Look even worse, yours look really good and bright. Ebay isn't selling a whole lot right now pertaining to plants since it is off growing season. I gave up on Ebay till March for selling plants...looking for a different market to get into till then. Hope people are getting to you threw Pm's and your moving them out :*)

![]() Do you still have them for sale?
If you do, would you be willing to trade for them?

![]() I do have them. Currently there's not much I would be interested in trading them for as I can't put anything in the ground at this point. I have no issues sending some out.

![]() I will add that I'll be interested in trading for musa basjoo come spring time. With digging up 35 of my non-cold hardy bananas that I did have this fall, I'm thinking that doing all basjoo is the best way for me. Too much time digging and cleaning and storing....

![]() Time to bump this up again. I really want to move a bunch of these things so I don't have to find homes locally. What I'm making is more or less my time into them to package and ship, etc.
It's getting warmer, I know some of you out there want some sweet tropical foliage this year! If any of you want to go cheaper on shipping, I will look into cheaper options. Also if you want a specific amount I will work with you on that as well. I have about a 2 foot by 3 foot by 8 foot block of these things stacked in crates in my garage, there's no way I can plant them all this year. |

![]() My buy it now on ebay is $25 before priority freight of $15.00, so I think doing $15 seems fair for the time monkeying around with packing etc.
