![]() Hello Everyone. I have some fresh seeds of a couple rare palm species. Descriptions are below.
The Sabal Tamaulipas is a rare Sabal palm from northeastern mexico only discovered in 1988. it is very similar to the sabal minor except that it grows much larger and faster and has a glaucous blue color. There are specimens over 10 feet tall. It is hardy to about 5 degrees without protection. It is highly tolerant of a variety of conditions. Many people have sought this out for some time before finding it, myself included. The Trachycarpus Wagnerianus is a rare palm unknown in the wild. It is very cold hardy, to about 0 degrees and can be grown in parts of canada without protection. With good sighting and little protection it can survive colder. It can grow to abour 20 feet and it is a neater, tidier, version of the trachycarpus fortunei or common windmill palm. the leaves are smaller and stiffer which makes it a better candidate for windier areas such as coastal areas. the leaves are stiff enough to hold up under the weight of snow which is a really cool sight. It is said to be the best of all the trachycarpus palms for general cultivation. Prices include shipping and tracking within the US. If anyone has any questions or would like to purchase any I accept paypal and you can contact me by PM or email me at pier_man0909@yahoo.com 10 seeds = $6.99 20 seeds = $12.99 Last edited by pier_man0909 : 01-08-2014 at 09:25 AM. |
